Bleed & Trim
+
TRIM
Print press projects are printed on oversize paper. Crop marks on the print files show where to cut, or trim, the paper when the printing is complete. The final size of a printed page after excess edges have been cut off is the trim size.
BLEED
To allow printing to go to the edge of the page, the printing press prints on oversize paper. The printing is set to print beyond larger. Anything that extends beyond the trim mark is called a bleed.

Reader vs. Printer Spreads
+
Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4 … that’s the order in which we read a book or newsletter, this is called reader spread. The process of printing multiple pages on a piece of paper, which is then folded and bound means printing the pages 1-4, 2-5, 4,3, this is called printer spread.

CMYK vs. RGB
+
PRINT: Traditional printing is done with 4 colors, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black (CMYK). These 4 inks are used to reproduce any color needed for printing. Print files need to be setup for CMYK use before sent to the printer for the best quality, and no additional fees.
DISPLAY: Red, Green, Blue (RGB), is used for all digital (light based) displays, such as computer monitors, TV, digital picture frames, PowerPoint, etc. RGB can be used by some printers, especially quick print shops, but not always.
*The RGB color gamut (total number of possible colors achieved by mixing RGB values) is wider and more vibrant than CMYK.
For instance, when a very bright fluorescent red or green is converted from RGB to CMYK, the color will look dull and flat in CMYK. Please keep this in mind when designing your artwork.TLC Creative Services is available to work direct with your printer to assure all print project files are set to the printer specification’s.
Infographics visually illustrate data, ideas and complex information. The appeal of an infographic is that they make data easier to understand than just text. Infographics engage people more quickly, and longer than just text. They provide an opportunity to leverage a brand’s style guide. Our graphic design, presentation design and messaging experience blend perfectly to create compelling infographics that visually communicate your message. See our Portfolio for infographic project samples.

Corporate Identity is typically thought of as a bundle of elements including the company logo, tagline, business cards, letterhead and other support materials. For TLC Creative Services a corporate identity package is assembling the guidelines that will apply to all materials for a company or event, including color scheme, typefaces, layout styling, and overall design style. These guidelines are then applied to the logo, business card, letterhead, website, PowerPoint template and all other materials for a complete, coordinated package that seamlessly brands your company to everyone.
