House exterior and interior design tour for inspiration: Ever wonder what a large house like this traditional timeless looking one is like inside? You’re invited to see. But first, let’s look at the exterior. I like it all including the turquoise shutters, white trim, and brick combination, plus the tall, tall columns, and upper deck.
Interesting how there are some gold bricks used in the stairway wall and then large urns with gold flowers that blend with the stone wall.
A better look at the stone exterior is this side or back view. It’s not all perfect in tone giving it that ancient, old world feeling that is warm and looks like it has history. I checked online for paint colors like the color of the shutters here and Benjamin Moore Aegean Teal is a good match.
Nice close up of the white trellis that extends across the house and the beautiful patio. Of note, the black lamps are available at Grahams Lighting. Do you Like this house or not Like it?
The stone on the house is continued as a wall around the pool.
Next is the pool house of course. Now let’s go inside.
Inside entry hall is wide and leads straight, to the right and upstairs.
I used to only like light oak wood trim and flooring, but I now seriously appreciate dark wood like the flooring used in this house. Showing the iron stair railing with rug on wood stairs and the stone wall in the background. Too dark for you? or Just right?
Family room with cozy lighting and again stone walls. It is different with the chandelier in the center of the family room. The decorating is fabulous including the picture above the fireplace. I am partial to gold/yellow furnishings and accents. Me, I wonder where to put the TV? Is it too dark for your taste? Or so comfortable you would never leave?
Beautiful lanterns and seating at the island, along with the X style glass cabinets doors. I would have a lot of fun decorating this room and filling up the cabinets with goodies. I am not sure if these chairs are actually red or if they are made from a red wood.
A nice built-in desk work area also with the X glass cabinets.
This photo shows the chairs again and they look like they’re just red chairs and now I see the high-gloss finish. The refrigerator is a Sub-Zero, built-in with bottom freezer. I am still dreaming of the day I can have this kind of refrigerator in my kitchen.
Off the kitchen breakfast room with a study nook that I would like to spend my day blogging in.
Master bathroom with a vanity in the middle.
This house is lovingly called Timeless Traditional by RWW architects on Houzz and I chose it for its exterior beauty, and hope you liked the tour.
